Words of Encouragement

from Dr. Lois Evans

When worry shows up, and it will, remember that you are an overcomer. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its’ sorrow. Worry empties today of its’ strength. Only God’s Strength is perfect.

So encourage yourself in His strength based on God's Word. Look in the mirror as the song by Don Lawrence says, and encourage yourself:

No weapon formed against you today will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

When you look at each word in Isaiah 54:17, you will see that absolutely no weapon formed against you will prosper. But what that also means, ladies, is that weapons will be formed against you. So don’t be surprised. Don’t be caught off guard. Remember that in this world, you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer because you are an overcomer through Christ’s blood. The weapons that are formed against you will not prosper.

SPEAK VICTORY TO YOURSELF DURING THE TESTS AND TRIALS OF LIFE

Pressure is all around you, but God is a present Help in times of trouble. Life can cause you to feel that there is nothing left to hope for. The enemy can create a wall that seems like it is a giant ushering in your defeat. But, remember, giants do fall.

You can be assured of this because of God’s Word which says,

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction, but flee from you in seven. (Deuteronomy 28:7)

Because you have a binding arrangement and agreement that says, you are a blood bought, sanctified, redeemed and justified daughter of the Most High God - stand on His Promises as you wait for your change to come. My sister, just maybe He wants to change you as you wait.

SPEAK THESE WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT OVER YOURSELF

• Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

• I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor their seed begging bread. (Psalm 37:25)

• Before I was born He had a plan for MY life. (Jeremiah 1:5)

• He has a plan to give me a future and a hope, and not to bring me evil. (Jeremiah 29:11)

• I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies. (Ephesians 1:3)

• And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

• For God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

• Remember your Word to your servant for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your
promise preserves my life. (Psalm 119:49-50)

• I am blessed in the city and blessed in the country. I am blessed when I come in, and blessed when I go out.
(Deuteronomy 28:6)
• The LORD will make me the head, and not the tail. If I pay attention to the commands of the LORD my God that He has given me this day and carefully follow them, I will always be at the top, and not at the bottom. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

• “As for me, this is my covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the
lips of their descendants - from this time on and forever," says the LORD. (Isaiah 59:21)

• Do not be afraid, I am your shield, and your very great reward. (Genesis 15:1)

Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? To be out of your sight?
If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there. If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon,
You would find me in a minute - You're already there waiting.
Then I said to myself, 'Oh, he even sees me in the dark.
At night I'm immersed in the light.’ It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to You;
night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to You.
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; You formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, Most High God – You are breathtaking. Body and soul, I am marvelously made.
I worship You in adoration - what a creation. You know me inside and out,
and you know every bone in my body. You know exactly how I was made,
bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book,
You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before You,
The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. (Psalms 139:7-16)

Though the cherry trees don't blossom, and the strawberries don't ripen, though the apples are worm-eaten, and the wheat fields stunted, though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty - I will sing joyful praise to God. I will turn cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. I will count on God's rule to prevail. I will take heart and gain strength. I will run like a deer. I will act like I'm king of the mountain (Habakkuk 3)

He gives strength to the weary. He increases the power of the weak. He renews your strength. You can run and not get weary. You can walk and not faint, if you wait. Wait, I say, on the Lord while you STAND on His word. (Isaiah 40)

NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL TODAY, LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SPEAK A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT OVER YOURSELF IN FAITH.
